Precautions for metering pump maintenance

2022-02-28

1. How does the metering pump adjust the pressure of the safety valve? The pressure of the metering pump safety valve can be changed within the rated working pressure area of the metering pump, and it is not allowed to exceed the maximum working pressure of the metering pump. The metering pump safety valve is designed to avoid overpressure operation of the metering pump. For example, if the maximum working pressure of the metering pump is 3bar, the pressure of the safety valve can be changed to 3bar, or lower to ensure the normal operation of the metering pump. The overpressure of the metering pump is one of the key reasons for the damage of the metering pump.
2. If the liquid conveyed by the metering pump is not water, how to calculate the suction lift? Divide the rated suction lift of the metering pump by the specific gravity of the metering liquid.
3. Under what circumstances does the metering pump use self-priming liquid suction? Self-priming liquid suction can be used in the following conditions:
(1) The measured liquid is easy to volatilize;
(2) The specific gravity of the measuring liquid is relatively large;
(3) When a higher stroke frequency is required;
(4) When the metering pump works in high altitude areas;
(5) Larger storage tanks are required for field applications, and it is not feasible to rely on the self-priming of the metering pump.
4. What factors need to be considered when the metering pump measures the liquid at the pump head? The key factors to consider are the viscosity, specific gravity, vapor pressure and temperature of the liquid.
